And some serious stuff

Occasionally I think I might post about things slightly more serious than just stupid websites and funny videos. Something that is really close to my heart at the moment is the charity War Child, the work they are doing is amazing and I am so glad there is a charity like this out there.
In August last year I set out to raise £600 for them so together with my college I put on an event on the last day of the autumn term. I ended up doing this :

Here are the statistics that inspired me to do something:
There are currently 300,000 child soldiers.
Because of the war in Afghanistan 1 in 4 children die before their 5th birthday.
75% of the world's wars use child soldiers.
How money can help:
- £5 can let a child in Uganda go to school for a month
- £10 can pay for a street child to have a Malaria jab.
- £50 can enable a child to go to school for a whole year in Afghanistan.

Currently I have only raised just over £400 which is £200 less than I originally wanted to raise. So now want to think of something else that I can do which will create enough of a crowd for me to raise that extra couple of hundred quid, any suggestions are welcome :)
